Welcome to the Winter and Semester 2, 2019 LAWS50059 Legal Internship application.
The Melbourne Law School Legal Internship subject enables JD students to undertake a vocational placement at a variety of public interest organisations for subject credit.
Legal Internship LAWS50059
is a standard elective subject worth 12.5 credit points.
Note:
First year students are
not
eligible to apply for Winter and Semester 2 internships.
2019 PILI Internships: Opportunities for Winter and Semester 2, 2019
Applications open:
Monday, 1 April 2019, 12pm
Applications close:
Wednesday, 1 May 2019, 11:59pm
For more details on the opportunities available and to submit your application, click 'University Sign In' at the top of the page and log in with your student login details.
Once logged in, navigate to the 'Forms' tab, select the
Legal Internship Application Form
from the drop-down selection and add this to your platform.
You can then select edit and proceed to submit your application, before finalising your preferences.
Please ensure you review the individual Host Advertisements and opportunities available carefully. You will be able to submit a maximum of three preferences.
Once you have submitted up to three preferences, you can upload required documents as per each advertisement.
Please note, successful applicants will be offered their highest eligible preference, based on the host organisation's short listing process and outcomes.
Students should be aware that this subject undergoes a competitive application process, and they may not receive an offer for their first preference.
